The successor to Yale’s popular Linus Smart Lock for European markets, the next-generation Linus L2 Smart Lock replaces 4 AA batteries for a rechargeable lithium ion battery. The much smaller battery pack, along with a total reconfiguration of the drivetrain, resulted in a significant volume reduction compared to the predecessor.
We evolved Yale’s brand language, marrying pure curves with crisp edges to celebrate the metal from which the lock was formed. A sliding front cover provides easy access to the battery, and the rotating logo plate, nestled within the circular lightpipe, supports mounting in all four cardinal directions – a requirement for European markets.
