Designed to support and display a single book, Verna is an absolutely essential geometric construct.

A single poplar board was jointed and planed, then separated to create four planes from which the shelf was constructed. The internal joinery is concealed from the exterior, creating continuous junctures that would be essentially invisible without the poplar’s granularity.
